Where does the money go?
It’s basically an investment that is paid back in product. So people pledge a certain amount in exchange for the reward choices listed. The rewards are equal in monetary value to the amount pledged so it’s a win-win. I get the money up front needed to purchase the equipment and the pledgers get great rewards that I mail out in Nov. When you pledge it does not mean the deal will go through. I have to reach the total funding goal in order for the thing to go through and all the pledges to be valid. If I don’t reach the funding goal within 42 days the deal is off and all the pledges become void. No one pays and I don’t get any of the funds. It is essentially canceled.

When do you pay?
You don’t pay until the campaign ends, Mid-September. You only pay IF we reach our funding goal. If we don’t reach our goal, no one is charged, no one pays and the entire thing is canceled.

What if we raise more than our goal?
Our Kickstarter campaign goal ($13,450) covers the bare minimum amount we need to complete our own licensed kitchen. Additional funds will be used towards appliances for the kitchen, a utility trailer to bring our goods to market, the development of sample packs and for marketing materials including professional website design. Additional funds will also be used towards making and fulfilling the rewards for pledgers including hiring additional staff for fulfillment as well as creating new, original northwest blends with interesting ingredients like sage, Rainier cherries, sarsaparilla, and juniper. If we go over our campaign goal you might be among some of the first people to taste test our newest blends and offer feedback before we make them available to the general public!

What if you want all the tea sampler jars?
If you want more than one set of the tea sampler set - 3 sample jars for $10 pledge - just double your pledge (for 6 blends), triple your pledge amount for 12 blends and add $3 for 6 or $6 for 12 for additional shipping but keep the same reward selection. So for example if you want the 12 sample jars you would increase your pledge amount to $36 and keep the shipping ($5) the same. I am not offering all 15 in the sample jars currently. I offer most of them in the sample jars but one or two will be replaced soon with new blends.
When we send out the survey at the end of the campaign you’ll let us know which blends you want and what your pledge money was to be used toward.

What is BackerKit?
BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!
The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.
How does BackerKit work?
After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.
I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?
The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.
Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.
To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.
How do I update my shipping address?
BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.
When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?
That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.
I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?
As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
